Quad Power means four independently controlled positions: the headrest, the lumbar support, the footrest, and the recline angle all move separately at the touch of a button. The Apollo at 38 inches wide is a full-scale power recliner in Grey – the most-configurable La-Z-Boy on our floor at this price point.
Powered pieces need a wall outlet within a few feet of where the chair will sit. In exchange, you get infinitely-adjustable positions that manual recliners can’t match: the headrest tilts for reading, the lumbar cushion inflates and deflates for driving fatigue, the footrest raises independently of the recline.
For customers who spend real hours in the chair (evening TV, reading, recovery from surgery), the four-way adjust is worth the price step up. Come try the Apollo powered up at the La-Z-Boy store inside our Northfield showroom.
Questions & Answers
What are the four powered positions on the Apollo Quad Power?
Headrest tilt, lumbar cushion, footrest lift, and recline angle. Each moves independently via the side control panel – you can fine-tune all four to your preferred position.
Does the Apollo need a nearby power outlet?
Yes – it plugs into a standard 110V outlet within about six feet of the chair. La-Z-Boy sells extension kits if your closest outlet is further.
What happens if the power goes out mid-recline?
La-Z-Boy power recliners include a battery backup port for emergency use. Ask a specialist at the showroom about the backup accessory.
Does the Apollo rock?
Yes – it’s a rocker base under the power mechanism, so the chair rocks at rest just like a manual La-Z-Boy.
Can I try the powered controls in the showroom?
Yes – the Apollo is plugged in on the floor at the La-Z-Boy store inside our Northfield showroom. Sit down and cycle through all four adjustments.
